Housing - Midway City, California - Completed 2002 (Download Project PDF - 1.1MB)

Placed in service 2002. This 30-unit apartment complex serves the needs of individuals at risk of homelessness due to mental illness. Sensitivity to the surrounding community was key to its successful completion. Technical highlights: construction of tuck-under parking, 29 bachelor apartments, and a one-bedroom manager’s unit. Built on a small (90’ x 110’) lot, this complex was the first four-story building in a neighborhood dominated by two-story construction. Funded by California Low-Income Housing Tax Credits.
